Melissa Campion

Melissa is originally from Northern Virginia, having lived several years on the west coast.  She studied Business Management and Merchandise Marketing in college while working in Retail Management and the Architectural & Design industry.  Melissa found her way to our community through a family member and was drawn to the teaching methods of Maria Montessori during an observation at Sunset Hills Montessori School.  She began working at SHMS in the spring of 2009 as a Classroom Rover and Sunset Club Associate. Melissa took a Teacher’s Assistant position while completing her Early Childhood Teaching Certification at The Barrie Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland and has been a Lead Primary Teacher since 2011.  Melissa lives in Hillsboro, Virginia and is looking forward to growing with our Montessori community.
