Alexis Davis

Alexis found the Montessori methodology after her youngest, now in college, joined a Pre-Primary classroom. She served as a classroom lead before joining the administrative team at SHMS. She supports school-wide programs from Pre-Primary through Elementary and promotes the partnership between SHMS and its family community. Alexis holds an AMS Primary Teaching Credential from Northeast Montessori Institute, an undergraduate degree in Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, and an MBA from William & Mary.

Born in New York and having experienced life on both coasts growing up, Alexis now lives with her husband in Reston, and is the proud mother of two children.

Though now "retired," she served as an operational member and NREMT with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department and the Board of Directors for Great Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

In her free time, Alexis can be found binge-watching Brit Box, working out to offset her snack choices, fostering adorable dogs, and seizing every opportunity to enjoy into the great outdoors.
