Roze Gesquiere

Rozemarijn Gesquiere is originally from Belgium and has lived in Canada, France, and the United Arab Emirates. In 2017, she relocated to Virginia with her husband and daughter. While in Dubai, Roze worked as a Lead Librarian at a British elementary school for four years. During this time, she established a new library and developed a school for four years. During this time, she established a new library and developed a library program designed to foster a lifelong love of reading and literacy. Her passion and dedication to children’s literature were recognized when she was named “School Librarian of the UAE” for two consecutive years at the prestigious Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. Roze first discovered SHMS as a parent and quickly fell in love with the Montessori approach to education. She soon joined the elementary teaching team, where she continues to share her passion for learning, creativity, and nurturing the whole child. Roze loves travel and discovering different cultures. She brings this global perspective into the classroom and encourages children to be curious about and respectful of the world around them. Roze is a MACTE-accredited Montessori Elementary teacher.
