Michelle, a native of southern Virginia, has a deep-rooted passion for Early Childhood Development, which she pursued at Averett University.

At SHMS, Michelle played a key role as part of a Primary classroom teaching team. Her focus was on supporting the classroom community's youngest students, including those experiencing their first school environment. Michelle's commitment to fostering a positive and enriching experience for these young learners is evident in her special interest in their social and emotional development.

Michelle's approach emphasizes child-centered learning that respects each child's pace and development. Her dedication to creating a supportive and engaging environment reflects her belief in the importance of the early years in laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Outside of her professional life, Michelle enjoys reading, organizing, and spending quality time with her husband and four children in Reston, where they have lived since 2019. Michelle is deeply committed to the growth and development of each child she works with and considers it, "a privilege to be a part of their educational journey."
