Tasha Richards

I moved to Reston in 2006, and immediately began my journey as a Montessori Teacher. I received my certification from the Montessori Institute of Teacher Education in Delaware and led my own pre-primary classroom for 14 years. I love being a part of our young students' lives. Watching them become more themselves as they gain confidence and independence in these formative years is incredibly rewarding.

I have a rising middle-schooler, an elementary age child, and two little ones in the Primary program at Sunset Hills.

In my spare time, I am an artist and hobby enthusiast. I enjoy playing guitar and videogames, painting, running, hiking, cake decorating, home repair, sci-fi, crochet, woodworking, and sewing. I like to keep learning new things and challenging myself with new endeavors.
